READ : Deuteronomy 4:1-9

Click “… will the truth be known … Click … nine out of ten dentists recommend … Click … playing at quarterback tonight for the … Click … the cloud formation on our weather map indicates….” Click.

“Bruce, please let ME be in charge of the remote control I’d like to see….” Click. Bruce has interrupted me with yet another click.

“Karen, I’m checking to see what’s on TV so I can decide what to watch.” “Bruce, you click it before we really get to see what’s on.” “Honey [not sounding very honey- ish], I can tell in a matter of seconds if I’m going to watch it.”

With a little glimpse of this and an even shorter glimpse of that, how is it possible to really understand what the program is about?

Sometimes in our spiritual lives, we click … take a little glimpse of this … click … an even shorter glimpse of that. How can we grasp hold of how to live when we catch only a glimpse of God’s Word? As our God instructed Moses and the people of Israel many years ago, so He instructs you and me today. Click … don’t turn that page! Let His word penetrate. This is not a choice it is a commandment. Today’s Scripture tells us we are to do this. We don’t get to pick and choose what we want to hear and apply from His Word.
