Reminders of God

READ : Deuteronomy 11:13-21

God instructed the Israelites to discuss Him and His commandments in their daily conversations. He wanted to be acknowledged in every aspect of their lives. The people of Israel were to talk and teach about the Lord everywhere they went.

I believe that our Lord also wants us to acknowledge Him throughout our daily routines. If we look, we can find reminders of God in the everyday events of life.

God has shown Himself to me in a variety of experiences. Some of these have come because I have cerebral palsy. I am limited in many aspects of life. I get around using an electric wheelchair, communicate with the help of an electronic speech device, and write using an adapted computer. In this month, I will be sharing what I have learned about God through some of those experiences. I have also seen God in events not related to my disability, and I will be sharing some of them with you as well.

God has placed reminders of Himself everywhere; we just have to look for them. I hope my sharing will encourage you to keep an eye out for reminders of Him in your own life. My desire is that you will then talk about them “when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up” (Deut. 11:19b).

Lord, help us to see reminders of Your goodness in our lives. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
