Two Very Special Words

Chester Droog

READ : 1 Corinthians 15:1-11
Galatians 1:3-5

What is the greatest thing you can wish for someone whom you care for very much? Is it wealth or success or fame or wisdom or happiness or even perfect health? As much as Paul may have desired all these things for his brothers and sisters in the churches of Galatia, that which he desired most for them was the grace and peace of God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
Grace: Great Redemption At Christ’s Expense. Grace is the gracious, free salvation made possible through the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Peace is the deep sense of spiritual well-being one experiences who is in a right relationship with a holy, just and righteous God.

Surely these are the two greatest blessings I could wish for anyone. They are the two gifts I wish for you in 1999. They can be yours, no matter what your circumstance or situation is on this third day of the new year. You can know the grace and peace of God by surrendering your life to the Lord Jesus Christ. Reach out in faith and God will grant you these two precious discoveries today.

Thank you, heavenly Father, for your gift of grace and peace through your Son Jesus Christ. Help me to experience them daily in the coming year. Amen.
