READ : 1 Corinthians 3:6-7
Going to school is a privilege not available to all children in Iran. As a seven-year-old, I remember when a 20-year-old youth came to our teacher with the hope that he would be allowed to attend a school. The teacher agreed to let him come to our little village school if he could bring his own paper and pencil. The next day he came with one piece of paper and a piece of charcoal that had been shaped into a pencil. After a few days he had learned how to say and write the alphabet. Then he stopped coming.
About 12 years later, when I was walking past a courthouse in the city, I saw this young man again. He was sitting at a table writing down complaints that illiterate people wanted to present to a judge. He had taught himself how to read and write, and he was making a living helping others!
Evangelism in the Middle East is like this. People may only learn the ABCs of Christianity from a friend through gospel radio programs or by reading a tract. There is no opportunity for them to learn more, but God makes these seeds grow. With a simple faith they accept Christ as their Savior and tell others.

Dear Lord, help me to share the “ABCs” of the gospel with others. Thank you for making these seeds grow.
