Iranian Believers Baptized

Iran, Presidential Update

After three months on the job, I simply cannot say “Thank You” enough. I am grateful to God for calling me to this work. And I am grateful for each and every one of our supporters and friends. We are partners together in speaking the hope of Jesus Christ into the hearts of people around the world. Thanks be to God!

I just returned from leading a five-day Iranian ministry conference for believers and seekers that was held in a safe location outside the country of Iran. Rev. Jhonny Alicea-Baez joined me at this conference, and the two of us were forever changed by the experience. These dear brothers and sisters listen to our broadcasts in a country where every evangelical church has been closed. They were willing to make significant sacrifices to travel and join together in the name of Jesus. We gathered to sing, hear God’s Word, and receive the sacraments.

One young man sold his motorcycle in order to attend. He accepted Christ during the week! Another woman was gathering with other believers for the first time after three years of seeking Christ. Three participants were even baptized (in a bathtub)!

One shared: “When I went under the water, I felt completely different.” We might say with Paul,We were buried therefore with him by baptism into death, in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, we too might walk in newness of life” (Romans 6:4).

As I baptized these new believers, I felt a strong kinship with each of you. Every morning I begin my day by signing Thank Yous to the wonderful friends and supporters of this amazing ministry. You were with me as the sacraments were shared among brothers and sisters you will one day meet in heaven. I can’t wait for you to meet them. Thanks be to God!

Your prayers and gifts are spreading spreading the resurrection hope of Jesus.

This particular month, your new and expanded gifts are being matched by a generous $50,000 challenge grant.

Thank you, and thanks be to God!
