Words of Hope’s radio ministry is growing very rapidly in the Garhwal region, and producers Rajesh and Ajay put their heart and soul into the Lord’s work.

For eight years, Words of Hope has partnered with the Evangelical Church of the Republic of Niger (EERN) to produce radio programs in Hausa and in French. Although Niger is 98% Islamic, the country is wide open for the gospel, and these broadcasts are making a big impact.

Riots and Church Burnings in Niger


In mid-January of 2015, churches in Niger were targeted in a slew of riots. Muslims angry over a French magazine’s depictions of the prophet Muhammad, and dissatisfied with their current government, set fire to 45 church buildings. At least 10 people were killed. Peace seems to have returned inside the country at this time, though it will certainly take time to rebuild the damaged church buildings.
